- Stealth technology
If you are going to be attacking an enemy, or if you simply want to spy on them to gain information about their movements and plans, they must not know you are there. The American military is able to do this based on state-of-the-art stealth technology that has been applied to many of their fighter planes and unmanned drones. Basically, these planes and drones are designed in such a way where radars do not detect them the same way they would with a normal aircraft. The fact that they will not show up on an enemy’s radar is a huge tactical advantage to the United States, allowing them to complete a wide range of activities without the knowledge of their enemies.
- Vehicle barriers
There are many bases and military installations around the world that the United States needs to protect against potential attacks. Some of the most effective tools that America uses for this task are high security bollards for building protection. These robots, first used for military applications, are not commonly used by S.W.A.T. teams around the country. They have saved countless lives since their creation.
- Meshworm
The Meshworm is a surveillance device. It is currently the smallest robot being used by the United States military. Its sole purpose is to infiltrate sensitive areas and bring back information that can be used by the military. Roughly the size of the tip of a human finger, the Meshworm is called this because it moves along the ground just like a real worm. Because of its small size, it can avoid detection by enemy surveillance methods. Current versions can record audio, but not video.
